Research on the relation between Food and Health forms an important contribution to the understanding of our Health span, the time in our life that we spent in good health. The influence of nutrition on our genes, on the diseases we will develop during life and thus on our health span, starts already before conception by the food that our mothers consume. Therefore research on the relation between Food and Health is comprehensive and needs a multidisciplinary approach. In Groningen, several aspects of the relation between Food and Health are studied.
