In the final stage of the research process, your results are published and may be shared with the general public. Several departments within the UMCG can help you communicate your research to a larger audience.
The Central Medical Library (CMB) offers services in the area of publishing. The CMB has expertise on a wide range of issues such as Open Access publishing, citation analysis, copyright issues, plagiarism scanning and PURE.
The Communication Department can assist with the dissemination of information on healthcare, education and research to the general public. They publish UMCG research findings through brochures, websites, regional and national media (e.g. the UMCG news outlets the Polsslag and UMCG KennisInZicht, or social media) and can provide advice on how to deal with the press, and ensure that public materials are in line with the UMCG branding guidelines. More detailed information can be found on intranet -> UMC-Staf -> Onderdelen -> Communicatie.
The Healthy Ageing Team (HAT) collaborates with knowledge institutions, regional government authorities and the private sector on Healthy Ageing, thus ensuring a strong external communication platform to promote translation of research results and activities.
