Pure collects and stores UMCG research information, related to the research organisation and the research output, and can be used for a wide variety of purposes, including semi-automatically:
- Creating and updating profile pages (displaying personal information, scientific publications and, in the near future, awarded grant information and ‘outreach’ activities available from public databases (e.g. press clippings)
- Generating identical, up-to-date UMCG research information on the level of departments, research institutes- and programmes, for both the UMCG and the University of Groningen website
- Creating publication lists for different purposes, for example generating a CV within the context of writing a personal grant application
- Generating UMCG research output, for example within the context of writing a self evaluation report needed for a peer review research evaluation (SEP evaluation).
You might find it interesting to see how (international) universities use Pure. The University of Groningen website about the Etalage project shows the most inspiring examples.
