Update: Annual data congenital anomalies

Print

Each year Eurocat presents the latest figures on congenital anomalies in the Northern Netherlands. In this region, a congenital anomaly occurs in about 2.8% of the pregnancies on average. Since 1981 Eurocat has built a database of more than 17,000 pregnancies and children.

The short report with the latest figures covers the past ten years. By recording these rates of prevalence we can quickly signal any unexpected rise or fall. The report provides information on prenatal screening and on the number of terminations in which a congenital anomaly was recorded.

We also chart possible damage due to medications used during pregnancy.
