Marieke van der Molen has won the Dutch Lung Fund General Public Award: the best study according to patients. She won the award for the SoLVE study, which is a study investigating the additive value and best timing of pulmonary rehabilitation in patients with severe COPD who undergo a bronchoscopic lung volume reduction with endobronchial valves. For the General Public Award, initially 5 studies were nominated. After online voting, 3 studies were selected to be presented at the Longdagen 2019. Of those, the SoLVE study has been chosen as the winner by the audience at the Longdagen 2019. With the General Public Award, Marieke has won €2.500 for further research.
