ERC Awardees

2012 Starting Grants


  Prof. dr. André Aleman is Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychiatry at the Department of Neuroscience and Scientific Director of the NeuroImaging Center. Project: Apathy in Schizophrenia: time for a DRASTIC (Dual Routes to Apathy in Schizophrenia: Treatment, Imaging, Cognition) study.
Dr. Eugene Berezikov is Assistant Professor at ERI​BA. Project: ‘Stem Cell Regulation and Mechanisms of Regeneration’.


2012 Advanced Grants


Prof. dr. Cis​ca Wijmenga is professor of Human Genetics at the University Medical Center Groningen. She received the grant for her research project on Celiac disease: from lincRNAs to disease mechanism (CD-LINK).


2011 Starting Grants

Prof. dr. Jan Jacob Schuringa is professor at the Department of Experimental Hematology of the University Medical Center Groningen. Project: ‘Human Leukemic Stem Cells: from Identification Towards Targeting and Eradication’
Prof. dr. ir. Ellen Nollen is professor at the European Instit​ute for the Biology of Ageing (ERIBA). Project: ‘Cellular Protein Damage Control: Regulation of Aging-Related Protein Aggregation and Toxicity’.




2011 Advanced grants


  Prof. dr. Liesbeth de Vries is Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Groningen and Academy Professor of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Project: ‘OnQview: the Application of Non-Radioactive Molecular Imaging of Tumour Lesions for Selecting the Most Suitable Anti-Cancer Drugs’.
  Prof. dr. Peter Lansdorp is Professor of the Biology of Ageing and Scientific Director of the new European Institute on the Biology of Ageing (ERIBA). Project: ‘The Role of Telomeres and Stem Cells in Ageing'.
